The Primrose SAPS are warning the community not to fight back when under siege.
Const Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose SAPS, said: “The Primrose police are appealing to the community to not fight back when they are attacked or held up by criminals, as this could have fatal results.
“Do not try to be the hero; rather obey the attacker’s instruction, rather just surrender your belongings, as your life is far more important.
“These criminals do not care; they will kill a person for something as simple as a ring.”
The community is reminded to be on the lookout for an old man still scamming community members in Primrose.
“The old man pretends to be looking for paving jobs.
“He asks to be paid up front and once paid he disappears,” says Maome.
The man is described as old, without front teeth.
