Business owners warned

Be vigilant this festive season.

With the approach of the festive season, the police are warning business owners to be extra vigilant.

The Primrose SAPS Vispol (visible policing) commander, Capt Patricia Fakude, accompanied by Const Styles Maome, the Primrose SAPS communications officer and members of the Primrose SAPS Youth Crime Prevention Desk, took to the streets on November 6, to talk to business owners about crime.

Business people were warned not to have large amounts of money at their businesses,to try to prevent huge losses in the event of a robbery.

They were also reminded that employers should be careful about what they tell their employees, as some are not reliable and pass on information to criminals.

“The Primrose police wish each and every citizen a crime-free festive season and remind the community that we will be there for them, as the majority of the police members will be on duty throughout the festive season,” said Maome.
