The Primrose police recently arrested four men, aged between 18 and 27, for housebreaking and theft.
The arrests came after the police received a complaint about a housebreaking on the corner of Cactus Road and Beaconsfield Avenue.
They rushed to the scene and, upon arrival, arrested one of the suspects.
Another alleged house robber hid in the ceiling, but was soon found by the police and arrested.
The other two suspects, who fled the scene, were tracked down and arrested.
“We thank the community member who alerted the police and the police for their quick response,” said Const Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
The suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court and the case was postponed for bail applications.
