Man arrested for shoplifting

Man caught shoplifting in Primrose.

The Primrose police recently arrested a 26-year-old man on charges of shoplifting.

The arrest was made after a security officer, in a large store, in Primrose, noticed the man taking six chocolates, each valued at R21.99, and a pack of boerewors, valued at R38.55, and attempting to hide the items in his trousers.

The officer continued to watch the man, checking if he would stop at the till-point to pay.

The man didn’t stop at the till, instead he headed past the tills and towards the exit of the store.

The security guard stopped him before he was able to leave the store.

The police were called to the scene and the man was arrested.
