Two men nabbed for housebreaking

Two arrested for housebreaking.

Two men, aged 34 and 36, were recently arrested for a housebreaking that took place at the Drakensberg Flats, in St Joseph Street.

The arrests took place when the owner of the flat came to the station to report the housebreaking.

The woman explained that she had gone away for a few days, leaving her flat locked.

While she was away she received a call from the flats’ security guard, informing her that he had seen two men leaving her flat.

She rushed home and found that her flat had been broken into and two watches, valued at R4 000, had been taken.

Dedicated detectives immediately began an investigation and, after following several leads, were able to track down and arrest the two men.

The men appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where their case was postponed for a bail application.
