Elderly celebrate Christmas

Members of Rest-a-While celebrated Christmas recently.

It was all about fun recently when 140 members of the Rest-a-While Community Centre for the Aged enjoyed their annual Christmas party.

The centre thanks the friends and family of Wendy Morgan and Chicko Watson who recently celebrated their 50th and 70th birthdays, respectively.

Instead of birthday presents the pair requested donations to Rest-a-While towards the Christmas party.

This ensured that the elderly enjoyed a delicious Christmas lunch.

Rest-a-While also thanks Spec-Savers, Primrose Square for the donation of snacks and cold drinks for the party, as well as the community of Primrose who support Rest-a-While with jumble and newspaper and glass for the recycling project which brings in funds for the centre.

The community is also thanked for the contributions towards the parcels which are made each December to help the elderly get through the festive season.
