The Primrose SAPS recently arrested two men in a stop-and-search operation held in Shamrock Road.
The two men, aged 30 and 34 respectively, were each arrested on charges of drunken driving.
The first driver was arrested after the officers, who were conducting the stop-and-search, noticed a vehicle driving very slowly and playing loud music.
“The officers stopped the vehicle and were greeted by a strong alcohol smell and a driver with extremely red eyes,” said Const Styles Maome, communicatios officer for the Primrose police.
The man was arrested and taken to the Primrose Police Station.
The second driver was arrested in a similar situation during the same operation..
Both men will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
