Kathy James is asking the community to help her find her beloved cat, Tommy.
He has been missing for seven weeks and she has exhausted every possible resource.
Tommy went missing from his Begonia Road, Primrose Hill, home on the evening of November 23.
He is a semi-wild cat (although Kathy has managed to domesticate him to a large extent) and not very sociable or approachable, and would shy away from strangers.
He is also not very adventurous and never goes wandering the neighbourhood, preferring to either be at home or visiting the neighbours.
His distinguishing features are that he has dark bloody scabs around his nose as he has cancer of the nose, and as a result, his eyes are also bloodshot.
Despite this, he is in very good health, and it is very uncharacteristic of him to be gone for so long.
Kathy fears the worst, especially as he is an elderly cat (12 years old) and quite deaf so he would probably not be aware of danger.
If anyone has any information about Tommy they can contact Kathy on 076 035 3891.
