The Primrose Sector Crime Forum warns residents to be careful when withdrawing money at the FNB Primrose Square ATM.
The CPF told the GCN that a gang is operating at this particular ATM.
“A well-dressed gentleman, who is ahead of you, pretends to do normal transactions, but we presume he is busy inserting a form of a card reader in the slot,” said Wendy Morgan, the CPF secretary.
“When you insert your card and put in your pin number, your pin number appears on the screen.
“As this happens another member of the gang comes from behind you and presses a button; your card comes out and he grabs it and runs away.
“Within five minutes the daily maximum allowed is withdrawn from your account.”
