Safety in Primrose a priority

Get involved in community safety.

Join the Primrose CPF in becoming more active in the safety of Primrose.

“We would like to start patrolling our sectors more often, to create awareness and keep criminals at bay,” said Wendy Morgan.

“The patrollers will be trained and will be used as our eyes and ears in our area.

“Anyone interested should attend a CPF meeting to find out more.”

The objective of the CPF is to make the community aware of crime problems in the area, and to be a link between the community and the Primrose Police.

“We can only keep ourselves and our community safe if we are actively involved,” added Morgan.

“We need to know who our neighbours are and who should be on our streets.”

The Primrose CPF has a database where community safety information is shared.

If you want to be included in this database, SMS your email details, including, your contact number, name, surname and address to Wendy Morgan, on 072 963 9675, or send an email to PrimroseSCF2@gmail.com.

The community is reminded that there are 24-hour SAPS patrol vans in each sector, and these can be contacted directly.

Each sector has its own patrol van.

The patrol vehicles’ numbers and the areas each covers, are:

  •  Sector One: 071 675 6864/65 – Marlands, Woodmere, Primrose East, Primrose South, Makause informal settlement and Marathon informal settlement.
  •  Sector Two: 071 675 6866/67 – Sunnyrock, Sunnyridge, Activa Park, Homestead, Gerdview, Solheim, Fishers’ Hill, Symridge, Wanneburg Hoogte and Primrose North.
  •  Sector Three: 071 675 6868/69 – Dawnview, Primrose, Primrose Hill, Simmerfield, Dania Park, Wychwood, Wychwood East, Malvern East and The Gables.
