Men threatened with gun

Man arrested over threat.

The Primrose police recently arrested a 78-year-old man after he threatened another man with a firearm.

The incident was reported to police by the victim.

He explained that he and a friend were walking down Churchill Avenue, talking, when they were approached by the elderly gentleman, who told them to keep quiet, as they were making a noise.

The victim replied that they were not making a noise, they were only talking.

It was then that the elderly man produced a firearm and pointed it at the victim and his friend.

“The police are, again, appealing to the community not to take the law into their own hands.

“Instead of threatening the two men, the accused should have called the police to handle the situation,” said Const Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
