ADT make learning fun

ADT Security, together with well-known Johannesburg entertainer Darrin McDowall, hosted a home safety skills interactive show for pre-primary and primary school children, last Tuesday.

The Baddies and Buddies show, which was presented at Lynn’s Pre-School, in Sunnyridge, focused on:

•  bullying;

•  home robberies;

•  keeping our belongings safe;

•  being alert, which includes paying attention to our surroundings, how to get help, how to contact the police and how to use security features, such as panic buttons and alarms;

•  stranger danger;

•  respecting our fellow South Africans.

McDowall (Mr ADT) also spoke to the children in a fun, friendly way, about personal safety.

He has found the happy medium, as this show keeps the youngsters both informed and entertained.

“Children are never too young to be educated and made aware, in a non-threatening manner, of the dangers that exist in our society,” he said.
