The Primrose police recently arrested a man for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The 26-year-old suspect was arrested for allegedly assaulting his colleague in Rietfontein Road, Primrose.
The complainant alleged that they were at work when he realised that the accused was working without a reflector jacket and asked why he was doing this.
The victim decided to leave him, but the accused followed him and struck him with an unknown object on his upper body.
The complainant suffered serious injuries.
“The police were called and responded quickly, and the suspect was arrested and detained at the Primrose Police Station,” said the communications officer for the Primrose SAPS, Const Styles Maome.
The suspect appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where the case was postponed for trial.
