Officers from the Primrose Police Station recently arrested a 22-year-old woman believed to be responsible for a housebreaking in Gosh Street, Gerdview.
The arrest was made after a man opened a case of theft against the accused.
He explained to officers that when he left his house to go to work everything was as it should be.
When he returned from work he opened his garage and noticed that some of his tools were missing.
Upon further inspection of his home the man found that his front door had been forced open and that a clock radio, Australian videos, a hair dryer and jewellery had been taken.
Officers launched an investigation and were able to track down the woman. S
he woman was arrested and will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
