Dogs come out on top

Dynamic Agility Academy celebrate another successful year.

The Dynamic Agility Academy hosted their annual fun day and prize giving on Saturday, February 1.

The event, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended, took place at Vryburger High School in Dawnview.

The day saw handlers and dogs taking part in both a basic obedience challenges and agility challenges.

Later out-standing dogs and handlers were awarded for their efforts.

The winners were:

  •  Stacey Rogers won the Hills Attendance award.
  •  The Joker Trophy for the most laughs was awarded to Charmain Struder and her dog Cindy.
  •  Bernadette Ehlers and Roxy (gold), Stacey Rogers and Merlin (silver) and Charmain Struder and Cindy (bronze) were awarded the wooden spoon trophy for Perseverance.
  •  The Bronwyn Botha trophy for Most Improved Handler was awarded to Michelle Hobson (gold), Lundie Askes (silver) and Sonelle van Wyk (bronze)
  •  Xhena, Jesse and Roxy were awarded the Rob Henry Tyre Jump trophy for Most Improved Dog.
  •  The Jayden Botha trophy Most Improved Team went to first place winners Michelle Hobson and Jesse, second place was Lundie Askes and Saede and third place went to Tania Marshall and Xhena.
  •  The DAA Trophy for Outstanding Services to the Dynamic Agility Academy went to Bert Askes.
  •  Stacey Rogers was awarded the days Oscar Trophy.
  • Willem van der Berg and Carol Staughton’s Meidjie Trophy was presented to Roxy.
  •  The final award of the evening, the Casper Trophy was awarded to Gift Chirwa and Tania Marshall.
