On Sunday, February 2, Primrose police arrested a 53-year-old woman who is alleged to be responsible for a rape that took place in Bay Road.
The arrest was made when the victim, accompanied by a friend who witnessed the crime, reported the incident to officers at the Primrose Police Station.
The man told officers that he had been out and had got drunk.
He then went home, where he went to sleep, and it was then, he claimed, that the woman entered his home and took advantage of his state.
“The victim also claimed the accused wanted to infect him with a disease.
“He believes this to be the truth, as she has been reported to have told people in the community that she is suffering from a serious illness.
“Irrespective of why the crime was committed, any criminal activities in our community will be punished,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Const Styles Maome.
