The Primrose police arrested a 41-year-old man for assaulting his girlfriend.
They were alerted to the assault when the victim, the suspect’s girlfriend, came into the station to open a formal case against him.
She claimed the assault took place on January 22, while the couple was travelling home from a local pub.
The victim alleged that her boyfriend had started to call her a lesbian, to which she replied that he was a “moffie”.
The accused then flew into a fit of rage and began to punch her.
She suffered a broken arm and bruising.
Officers were able to track the man and he was arrested.
