Katlehong EMPD officers help recover vehicle

EMPD helps track stolen car.

Upon realising that the chopper hovering over Katlehong, on Thursday, belonged to a vehicle tracking company, EMPD Katlehong precinct officers decided to speedily obtain information and join the search for a stolen vehicle.

The combined ground units, comprising EMPD officers and the Alstar Tracking Company, with the assistance of the “Eye in the Sky”, were able to locate the stolen vehicle at around midday, in Tokoza.

The Toyota Hilux double-cab, stolen in Rosherville, at about 8am, was recovered in Mguni Street, in Tokoza.

Unfortunately, the thieves had already fled, after causing only minor damage to the dashboard of the recovered vehicle.

The vehicle was taken to Tokoza Police Station.
