Primrose police arrested a 29-year-old man on Friday, March 14, following an assault in the Makause informal settlement.
Officers were alerted to the crime when they received a call from a man claiming he had been assaulted by two men.
When officers arrived at the scene, the victim explained that he had been in his yard when he was approached by two men.
The victim recognised them and they accused him of breaking into their shack.
The argument became very heated and one of the men pulled a fork from his pocket and began to stab the victim with it.
Officers were able to track down the man, using the victim’s description, and he was arrested.
The man later appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where his case was postponed for trial.
