Primrose police arrest 51

The Primrose police made a staggering 51 arrests from March 17 to 23.

The accused were arrested for various crimes in the Primrose area.

The crimes are:

•  Theft: 4

•  Driving under the influence: 7

•  Drunk and disorderly in public: 7

•  Contempt of court: 1

•  Urinating in public: 1

•  Warrant of detention: 3

•  Reckless and negligent driving: 1

•  Shoplifting: 1

•  Housebreaking and theft: 6

•  Possession of suspected stolen goods: 3

•  Possession of drugs: 3

•  Dealing in drugs: 2

•  Dealing in liquor without a licence: 4

•  Rape: 1

•  Illegal immigrants: 5

•  Murder: 1

•  Soliciting/importuning for the purpose of sexual immorality: 1

All the accused appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court following their arrests.
