SAPS and CPF join forces

SAPS and CPF host crime prevention campaign.

Members of the Germiston CPF – which included the Din-Al-View CPF, Dukhatole CPF and Lambton Klip CPF, and the Germiston SAPS held an awareness campaign on Saturday, March 29.

The campaign aimed to bring a number of important issues to the community’s attention, including:

  •  sexual abuse against woman and children;
  •  liquor abuse;
  •  drug possession;
  •  drug abuse;.
  •  ATM safety;
  •  home safety;
  •  crimes and their penalties.

The campaign started at the Germiston Police Station in Spilsbury Road and went on to cover Germiston Sector One to Sector Five

The day started with the group receiving a safety briefing from Lieut Col Phiwe Ndwandwe, followed by WO André de Jager’s explanation of the route the group would take through the sectors of Germiston.

“We hope that more operations like these will raise the awareness we need to stop crime in the sectors we serve,” said Renee Germeshuisen, chairwoman of the Lambton Klip CPF.
