Epworth receives welcome donation

Survival Kidz visits Epworth Children's Village.

The members of Survival Kidz, with their new children’s groups, Little Eagles and Young Hearts, recently paid a visit to Epworth Children’s Village.

“The visit was a huge success,” explained Crista Duvenage of Survival Kids.

“We handed out clothing that our local community had collected for us.

“We also provided the children and staff with a lunch of hotdogs, cupcakes, sweet packets and fruit,”

“The staff members are very friendly and they are doing an awesome job with the children,” added Duvenage.

“We personally met staff members Josephine Mofokeng, Neo Dilibo, Adijah Mabukwa, Tamara Makita and Bridgety Mapurisa.”

Following the success of this project, Survival Kidz want to do more outreach projects with different children’s home, as well as old age homes and the Avril Elizabeth Home.

“We are, therefore, asking the community to please assist us with these projects by donating any old clothing and/or any food products,” said Duvenage.

“Together we can make a difference in our country and especially the future of the children of the country.”

Survival Kidz credit the success of the project to everyone involved, with special thanks given to Joan Pelser and JIG International for the donation towards the food, to Nelly van Bosch for the sweet packets and to Susan Harmse for the fruit donation.

The group also recognises the leaders of the Little Eagles, Deon van Wyk and Cristo van Wyk, as well as the leaders of the Young Hearts, Nicole Lombaard and Sanmarie Greeff.
