The Primrose police have appealed to the community to be on the lookout for the following vehicles.
- A 4×4 bakkie.
The registration and colour has yet to be confirmed, but the vehicle is believed to be involved in housebreakings in the area.
- A white Volkswagen Golf.
The registration is unknown, but the vehicle is believed to have been involved in two hijackings in the Primrose area.
- A silver Hyundai Getz.
The registration is unknown, but the vehicle is believed to have been involved in housebreakings and thefts in the area.
- A white Mercedes Benz, together with a white panel van.
These two vehicles have been seen at the scene of housebreakings in the area.
- A silver Jeep Cherokee.
The registration plates unknown, but the vehicle has been involved in a house robbery in the area.
- A white Mercedes Benz C-Class.
This car was involved in an armed robbery in the Primrose area; the registration is unknown.
- A white, dolphin-shaped BMW.
This car has also been reported to have been involved in house robberies in the areas.
- A gold Range Rover.
This vehicle is reported to have been involved in business robberies in the area.
The registration is still unknown at this stage.
“We urge the community to take note of any suspicious-looking vehicles or people in their area, especially when entering their homes,” advised Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police .
“If you notice something suspicious rather drive past your house and call the police on 011 842-0522, or the patrol vehicles on 071 675 6864/5/6/7/8/9.”
The police also remind the community not to park their vehicles on the street or pavement overnight.
“Vehicle theft is a challenge in our area,” Maome said.
