Last Wednesday, residents of Primrose East were left without power for several hours.
A number of them reported the power outage to the GCN.
The GCN sent a query to the metro asking:
- What is the reason was for the outage?
- When the metro thought the power would be restored?
“The power outage was caused by a cable fault,” said Lebogang Ramashala, from the metro’s communication and brand management department.
“Power in some parts of Primrose East was restored by 10am on Wednesday.
“The rest of the area’s power was restored by technicians by 2pm.”
