Man stabbed while out with friends

Victim says he never provoked his attacker.

Members of the Primrose police recently arrested a 27-year-old man on charges of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The arrest was made after the victim of the attack told officers at the Primrose Police Station he was out with friends when the accused approached them.

“The victim claims that, without provocation, the suspect grabbed him and stabbed him in the upper body.

“He then left without another word,” said communications officer for the Primrose police Sgt Styles Maome.

The suspect was arrested in the Marathon informal settlement and taken to the Primrose Police Station, to await his appearance in the Germiston Magistrates Court.

His case has since been postponed for trial.
