Local real estate company donates R10 000 to care centre

Care Centre gets much-needed donation.

Real Estate Group Harcourts Full Circle, in Germiston, has donated R10 000 to the Sasonah Lodge Care Centre, in Webber.

The care centre accommodates patients with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease, or any other form of dementia.

It recently opened a cancer care unit, for terminal cancer patients.

The centre’s goal is to erect six cottages to accommodate patients who do not want to be separated from their family members during the terminal stage.

“The centre will also be extending the dining area, to accommodate the new residents,” said Simon Smith, CEO and owner of Harcourts Full Circle.

According to Smith, the Harcourts Foundation was launched on the back of an overwhelming response from Harcourts franchisees wanting to make a difference to their local communities.

“Through ongoing fund-raising efforts, sponsorships and voluntary commission contributions by agents, our group has raised more than R2.1-million for the foundation,” he said.

“By assisting Sasonah Lodge Care Centre, which does so much for so many, with so little, we’re upholding the Harcourts Foundation’s commitment to providing support to help, grow and enrich our communities.”
