Primrose police wage war against crime

Primrose Police Station record 39 arrests in Primrose in a week.

In the week, September 1 to 7, the Primrose Police Station recorded 39 arrests.

The accused were arrested for a number of different crimes in the area.

  •  Possession of drugs 4
  •  Common assault 3
  •  Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm 3
  •  Theft 2
  •  Robbery 1
  •  Interference with police duties 1
  •  Section Eleven 1
  •  Soliciting/importuning for the purpose of sexual immorality 1
  •  Housebreaking and theft 3
  •  Possession of stolen property 4
  •  Driving under the influence 2
  •  Drunk and disorderly 3
  •  Malicious damage to property 1
  •  Contempt of court 1
  •  Illegal immigrants 9.

“The station commander, Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo, once again thanks everyone who contributed to these arrests,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

“Primrose police have declared war against crime in Primrose.”

The suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court.
