The streets of Germiston were a sea of pink on Saturday, when 1 900 people took to the streets in the Pick n Pay Women’s Walk, in aid of the Pink Drive.
Pink Drive focuses on educating people and raising awareness of breast cancer.
Participants set off on the 5km walk from St Catherine’s School, in Parkhill Gardens.

Grade Nine pupils at St Catherine’s School, Kyra Rogers (left) and Justine Teixeira, were marshals at the walk and took their job seriously.

The Pick n Pay Women’s Walk was the perfect way for Mikayla (11, left), Edwin and Kate-Lynn (6) McMaster to spend some quality family time together.
