Airey ready for a second try
Jordan Airey represents Germiston in the “Eastgate Look of Fashion 2014”
“Eastgate Look of Fashion 2014” will take place on Friday the 17th of October at the Strelitzia Court @ East Gate Shopping Centre.
And Germiston’s own Jordan Airey is one of the competition’s finalists.

“I’m excited to say that I am an Eastgate look of Fashion Top 16 finalist for 2014,” gushed Airey.
The GCN caught up with Airey to find out more about the competition and what has been accepted of contestants.
“We started off with our flash and freeze mobs, these were held at the Eastgate Shopping Centre,” explain Airey.
All 16 finalists were sponsored clothing for these events.
Sponsors included Stuttafords, Cotton On and Rage to name a few.
“As part of the flash and freeze mobs we were expected to walk through the centre advertising and/or promoting the stores clothing as well as Eastgate as a shopping destination.
“Obviously as a favourite mall for the east rand it has all the right flavours most people would like to experience in fashion and food,” added Airey.
The 16 finalists have been trained by choreographer Ryan Hignett.
“Hignett is extremely talented in setting the stage for the right ‘draw card ‘, and as customers passed by the 16 girls took on a great floor show at various points within the mall.”
This entails a mock “Cat Fight” between 2 ladies and ends up in us all joining into a wonderful dance routine.
“Having been placed as a first princess last year, I am encouraged to part take in 2014 in the hope of taking “The Crown”.
“The sponsors are superb and I would be proud to promote their brands at any level,” commented Airey.
“I have met up with the 15 wonderful ladies who all have equal opportunity in this competition and all I can hope for is that my experience and confident attitude gives me an edge.
“Anyone of the 16 would be wonderful ambassadors for East Gate but it’s the judges that will have the final say.”
The competition’s final will take place on Friday, October 17.
