Exciting performances at Emperors Palace

Catch Summer at the Palace.

Starry nights and sun-filled days usher in the arrival of spectacular performances at Emperors Palace.

From October, this year, to January 2015, the Palace of Dreams, Emperors Palace, will be pampering the urban sun-seekers with R10-million to give away in cars, cash, shows and stays.

Skip the summer showers, escape the sweltering heat and enjoy a kaleidoscope of entertainment with Summer at the Palace.

Exciting entertainment options for the month of October include jaw dropping illusion acts, rip-roaring comedy and an 80’s music legend.

Summer at the Palace kicks off at the Barnyard Theatre which recently revealed its latest playhouse at Emperors Palace and has been thrilling audiences with spectacular shows.

Diamonds and Pearls will present a tribute to the iconic music of Neil Diamond and Celine Dion.

There will be set ablaze with memorable hits such as ‘Beautiful Noise’, and ‘Sweet Caroline’ set against the powerful ballads of ‘The Power of Love’ and ‘My Heart Will Go On’.

The show will be performed on October 17, 18 and 19 and tickets are available.

Locals were saddened and shocked to hear of the retirement of The Uncles Peru and Bala, Vikash Mathura and Ray Maharaj from Lotus FM in December.

The Uncles have entertained South Africans for a record-breaking 17 years, and no innings that long could be retired without a sizzling farewell tour.

Fans of the legendary entertainers will have one last chance to pay homage to the jesters they grew up with as they bid their supporters farewell and draw the final curtain on an era of comedic-riots.

Nothing is taboo this summer in this no holds barred one man stand-up comedy show on sex and sexuality on October 31.

The enigmatic and charismatic Karou Charou will return to the Theatre of Marcellus stage with his blockbuster adult comedy, aptly titled Kama Sutra.

Wisely using a combination of music, slide shows, interesting props and quick wit, Karou will take the audience on a 90-minute journey of discovery, challenging tradition and debunking myths.

Don’t forget to visit the “Spoil Bar” in the Entertainment Emporium during Summer at the Palace.

Enjoy a quick freshening-up before a show or pick up new seasonal hair and make-up tips.

Tickets and special packages for the above shows can be booked through the Emperors Palace Box Office on 011 928 1297/1213 or on www.emperorspalace.com or www.computicket.com.
