Woman unable to produce liquor licence after being caught selling liquor

Follow the right channels when selling liquor urge Primrose police.

The Primrose police, with the help of members of the Germiston Cluster, recently arrested a 25-year-old woman.

She was charged with selling liquor without a licence, in Silvia Road, in Primrose.

The arrest was made during a joint operation in the area.

Officers observed the house in Silvia Road as well as the people coming and going, and noticed that a number of people had bottles of alcohol.

They entered the house and saw a man buy a bottle of alcohol from a woman.

The officers approached the woman and asked her to produce her liquor licence.

When she was unable to do so, she was arrested and taken to the Primrose Police Station.

“We appeal to the community to follow the right channels when selling liquor; we will continue to conduct operations such as these throughout Primrose,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.
