A 35-year-old man was arrested in Elsburg, last Monday, after he allegedly assaulted his new landlord.
“It is believed an argument started after the landlord entered his yard without knocking at the gate,” said Const Daphney Phooko, communications officer for the Elsburg SAPS.
“The tenant became arrogant because the landlord didn’t knock at the gate first before he knocked at the door.
“He then assaulted the landlord who sustained injuries to his lower body.”
The suspect is due to appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon to face charges of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
