Today the South African Weather Service released a warning of severe thunderstorms and veld fires.
- Severe Thunderstorms:
Severe thunderstorms with the possibility of large hail and damaging winds have been predicted in the extreme eastern parts of Gauteng, heading towards the Bronkhorstspruit area.
- Veld fires
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in Gauteng.
The community is once again urged to take the necessary precautions when travelling and be sure their vehicles and animals have appropriate shelter.
