End Valentine’s Day on a perfect note

Bobby and Karlien van Jaarsveld, the award-winning siblings and musical duo, will be setting the Theatre of Marcellus ablaze on February 14, at Emperors Palace.
Give Valentine’s Day a new lease this year, with a sumptuous dinner and youthful show, as Bobby mesmerises the women with “Net vir Jou” and the dazzling Karlien melts the boys’ hearts with her “Snak na my Asem”.
The duo scored big at the 2012 Huisgenoot Tempo Awards, where Bobby was crowned Most Popular Male Artist and Karlien Most Popular Female Artist, and they also won the Song of the Year award.
Bobby started his music career at the beginning of Grade 12 and won his first award in the category Best Newcomer, at the popular Huisgenoot Skouspel Extravaganza.
He also boasts three nominations for Best Newcomer in 2006, from the Klein Karoo National Arts Festival, local music magazine Vonk and Huisgenoot’s Tempo magazine.
In 2005 Karlien started performing with Bobby, as his guitarist and backing vocalist, and she also featured in a duet with Bobby on his first album.
Then in 2006, Karlien focused on her solo career and formed her own rock band named Revolution.
