Man arrested for housebreaking

Woman arrives home to find TV and phone gone.

Members of the Primrose Police recently arrested a 32-year-old man, for housebreaking.

The arrest was made after a homeowner, from Abelia Road, in Primrose Hill,went to the Primrose Police Station to open a case of housebreaking.

She explained to the officers that she had left her house in the morning, to go to work, and when she arrived home that evening she discovered the door closed but not locked.

When she went inside she noticed that her TV and new cellphone were missing.

Detectives followed up on several leads and the accused was arrested and charged for housebreaking and theft.

The man appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
