The GCN reported on the attack on and death of the Laerskool Oosterkruin groundskeeper (see GCN, January 9).
The 45-year-old man, identified as Hlupheno Mosia, was viciously attacked and killed by three pitbulls, in Weert Road, on December 27.
He, along with one of the pitbulls died on the scene, while the other two dogs were seized and later euthanased by the Germiston SPCA.
The GCN contacted the Primrose police to find out what progress had been made in this case.
Sgt Styles Maome, communication officer for the Primrose police commented, “In response to your query, this office would like to confirm that we are investigating the pitbull attack, from December 27.
“The case is still under investigation, and this office cannot comment about it as we may jeopardize the investigations.
“We will only be able to give a statement after the investigations have been completed.”
