Local girl helps team win competition

Jeppe Girls take first prize in Vega Vibe.

Six pupils from Jeppe Girls took part in the Vega Vibe competition, recently.

Their task was to design an advertising campaign for a human right of their choice.

The Jeppe team, comprising of Germiston’s Shona Boyle along with Caryn Marx, Angelique Pereira, Emanuela Pereira, Leila Leaf and Izaria Hassim, chose child abuse as their topic.

They were awarded first place and the adjudicators were most impressed with the Jeppe advert as it communicated the message clearly and simply.

Second place went to Crawford College Lonehill and third place to The Kings School.

Palesa Mofokeng and Kayla Nobrega from Vega came to the school to present the girls with certificates, medals, gift vouchers and a floating trophy.
