Hospice East Rand recently opened a charity shop in the Roirama Centre, located in Hawk Street, Elspark.
Queues of excited customers waited patiently for the shop to open so they could get their hands on all the bargains on offer.
The shop sells good quality secondhand clothing, household goods, ornaments and bric-a-brac.
“We are always in need of goods to sell so when next you are cleaning out your cupboards please think of us,” said Laura Kirsten, Hospice East Rand fund-raiser and public relations officer.
“Volunteers are also needed to assist shop manager Gert Jacobs.”

Hospice East Rand now has ten charity shops on the East Rand.

All proceeds raised in the shops are used for the care of terminally-ill patients.
