Great community awareness event held in Primrose
Primrose Sector Two creates awareness.
Primrose was alive with the sound of fun, last Saturday.
This was due to the Primrose Sector Two CPF fun awareness day held at Sunnyridge Primary School’s sports grounds.
With over 1 000 people coming through the gates, Wendy Morgan, the chairman of the Primrose CPF said she was pleased that they have begun to make a difference in the community.
“I think the community is starting to work together to create a safer and better Primrose,” she said.
The main aim of the day was to create awareness of sector policing.
“There are 173 streets in the Sector Two area – 89 of those have street leaders, we still need 84 streets to get on board and create Whatsapp groups,” Morgan said.
To be part of the crime information groups, contact Morgan on 072 963 9675.
The second aim of the day was to raise funds to make it possible for the 60 volunteer patrollers, who are putting in lots of hours patrolling the streets during the day and night.
“This goal was definitely achieved with a lovely amount being raised,” said Morgan.
