Get your Slipper Day stickers and support a good cause
Wear your slippers and support children with life-threatening diseases.
This year, Reach for a Dream will be holding its annual Slipper Day campaign on August 7.
All South Africans can take part in the campaign by reaching for their slippers and wearing them to work, school and the mall, all in aid of helping children fighting life-threatening illnesses.
All that is required to earn your “right” to wear your slippers on Slipper Day is to purchase a R10 sticker from your closest Wimpy.
For the second year in a row you can purchase your sticker from any Wimpy outlet countrywide in a show of support and solidarity for the Reach for a Dream Foundation.
Wear your sticker and slippers to Wimpy on August 7 and this will guarantee you a free cup of regular Wimpy coffee.
“Last year, stickers sold through Wimpy outlets resulted in just over R1.1-million in funds for Reach for a Dream and this year we would like to sell even more stickers to our loyal customers to further aid this non-profit organisation,” said Karabo Morudu, Wimpy brand manager.
“At Wimpy we are all about families, and aiding in making seriously ill children’s dreams come true is a privilege for us as a group.”
Reach for a Dream has been around for 27 years and has dedicated itself to making dreams come true.
No dream is too small or too big, and these range from children wanting to see the ocean for the first time, taking a drive in a Ferrari, a flight in a helicopter, becoming a doctor for the day or even visiting Disney World.
“All funds and proceeds raised through the Slipper Day campaign will help put a smile on the faces of the foundation’s ‘Dream Children’,” said Bronwyn Feldwick-Davis from Reach for a Dream.
“Reach for a Dream prides itself on the countless children who have benefitted through the generous support of companies such as Wimpy.”
Don’t let their dreams disappear.
You can help a child’s dream to come true.
Buy your R10 sticker from a Wimpy near you from July 1 to August 7 and wear your slippers proudly.
