Man takes out frustrations on ex-girlfriend’s groceries

Man arrested for malicious damage to property.

A woman was left in a state of shock after a recent confrontation with her ex-boyfriend, in the street on her way home from a local supermarket.

“The 40-year-old man confronted his ex-girlfriend in Rietfontein Road, in Primrose,” said communications officer for the Primrose police, Sgt Styles Maome.

It is reported that the man grabbed the woman’s groceries and destroyed them.

The woman opened a case of malicious damage to property with the Primrose police after the incident.

Using the description given by the complainant detectives were able to trace the accused and he was arrested.

He appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where his case was postponed for plea and trial.
