Busy week for Primrose police

Thirty-nine arrested in a week.

The Primrose police have shared their recent arrest statistics.

Thirty-nine suspects were arrested for various crimes in the Primrose area from June 8 to 14.

Crimes which suspects were arrested for:

  •  Drunk and disorderly conduct: 2
  •  Pointing of a firearm: 1
  •  Shoplifting: 1
  •  Defeating the ends of justice: 1
  •  Warrant of arrest: 2
  •  Theft: 2
  •  Assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm: 4
  •  Common assault: 2
  • Malicious damage to property: 2
  •  Dealing in drugs: 2
  • Possession of drugs: 4
  •  Soliciting/importuning for the purpose of sexual immorality: 1
  •  Possession of stolen property: 1
  • Illegal immigrants: 15

The Primrose SAPS station commander Col Mduduzi Khuzwayo thanked everyone who contributed to these successes.

Most of the suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court and their cases were postponed for various reasons.

The illegal immigrants will be sent to Lindela for deportation.
