Supa Quick goes pink with free clinical breast examinations

Local business to host early cancer detection and prevention drive.

Supa Quick has announced that it is to host a free breast health screening day, as part of its collaboration with the Bridgestone/Pink Drive early cancer detection and prevention initiative.

The event will take place from 9am to 2pm at Supa Quick Lambton, on July 24.

“Bridgestone has been involved with Pink Drive for several years now,” said Bridgestone retail marketing manager Desirée van Niekerk.

“Pink Drive conducts tens of thousands of free mammograms annually and provides awareness information to help in the fight against breast cancer.”

Bridgestone’s contribution to Pink Drive in 2014 saw enormous numbers of pink tyre valve caps sold to raise funds for cancer awareness and detection.

Bridgestone SA was able to donate R1-million to Pink Drive as a result, and the pink valve caps are a familiar sight on vehicles across the country.

“We invite the public to take advantage of this free service and join us on July 24,” van Niekerk said.

“The screening facilities at Supa Quick Lambton can be found on the corner of Webber and Cleator roads, Lambton.”
