A Makause informal settlement woman was shocked when she recently returned home from work to discover her home had been broken into.
Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police, explained that the burglar entered the home by damaging the main door, and then took a number of the woman’s belongings.
After following up on several leads detectives from the Primrose Police Station were able to arrest a 31-year-old man on suspicion of committing the crime.
He was charged with housebreaking and theft and will appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon.
