The SAPS are looking for a man believed to have been involved in case of fraud in the Elsburg area.
The incident took place on May 18, at 4pm.
The alleged fraudster used fraudulent documents to purchase a Lenovo laptop at a computer shop via tele-sales.
“The victim of fraud alleged that he received his payslip from his employer, reflecting money deducted from his salary by Barekisi Company with an amount of R283.92,” said Const Daphney Phooko, communications officer for the Elsburg SAPS.

“He was given a duplicate of the purchase agreement and he identified a known male, who had received the documentation from Barekisi Company, as one of his work colleagues.”
The culprit changed the photo on the identity document and used the victim’s identity document to commit fraud by purchasing a Lenovo laptop valued at R13 628.23.
