Eskom has not had load shedding for the past 30 consecutive days, and none is anticipated for the day.
The power system is expected to remain constrained but stable for the rest of the week with a low risk of load shedding.
“We will continue to monitor the situation, and should it be necessary to implement load shedding, we will communicate this accordingly,” said the company in a statement this morning.
“As we enter the summer period, customers are reminded to use electricity sparingly throughout the day, as the system is not only constrained in the morning and evening peaks but all day.
“Every little bit of savings goes a long way in assisting us to manage the demand and supply of electricity and to reduce the risk of load shedding.”
Eskom will provide regular updates on the status of the power system through all the media platforms.
