Two men found with copper cable

Two men were arrested after being found with copper cable to the value of R10 000.

During a recent patrol, officers from the Primrose Police Station noticed a car driving erratically.

They followed the white bakkie along Johan Rissik Road towards the Delport informal settlement, before ordering the driver to pull over.

During a search of the vehicle copper cable to the value of R10 000 was found.

“The driver was asked to produce proof of ownership; when he couldn’t he and the passenger were arrested,” Sgt Styles Maome, communcations officer for the Primrose police explained.

The men, aged 26 and 32 respectively, were taken to the Primrose Police Station pending their appearance in the Germiston Magistrates Court.
