Son accused of damaging mother’s home

Son accuses mother of not looking after him, before damaging her home.

Members of the Primrose police recently arrested a 29-year-old man on charges of malicious damage to property.

The incident took place in the Makause informal settlement after the victim’s son accused her of not taking care of him.

“The accused reportedly picked up several stones and threw them at his mother’s shack, damaging the windows,” explained Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

The damages caused were valued at R1 000.

After the incident the woman reported the crime to the Primrose police, who after following several leads were able to locate and arrest the accused.

He has since appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where the case was postponed for plea and trial.
