Motorcyclist airlifted after N12 accident
Emergency services attended to the scene of a motorbike accident this afternoon.
This afternoon EMER-G-MED’s RV4, M02 and A12, as well as other services responded to reports of a motorbike accident on the N12 East near the Kraft Road off-ramp, in Germiston.
On arrival paramedics found the biker to be in a critical condition.
Advanced life support paramedics placed the patient on life support, and requested the Netcare 2 medical helicopter’s assistance.
The patient was airlifted to a nearby Level 1 trauma hospital for further specialised treatment.
It is unclear exactly what caused the collision, local authorities were on scene to investigate.
