Five injured in truck accident

Driver loses control of vehicle resulting in five people being injured.

Five people sustained minor injuries after a truck veered off the road on Dekema Road in Wadeville, on Saturday at about 3.30pm.

“Reports on the scene indicated that the driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle on a curve,” said Athlenda Mathe, media liaison officer for Netcare 911.

Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on scene and found that five people had sustained minor injuries.

“All the injured patients were treated on scene and then transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care,” said Mathe.
